Definition

What Decitera is.

Decitera is the Operational Decision System from Systems Place, built for the kind of work analysts call decision intelligence. It connects the evidence in your ERP, CRM and BI systems to a named decision owner, the permitted response and a checked result, one recurring decision at a time.

Connects to
ERP, CRM, BI and operational records, agreed for each use case.
Starts with
Read-only access and one recurring decision with a result you already trust.
Does not
Replace your ERP or BI, or act without an accountable approver.

In the documented FMCG implementation, Decitera is a scoped, read-only MCP connection with purpose-built analysis tools, used through the client’s chosen AI assistant. It does not write back to the ERP.

Understand. Decide. Act. Measure.

Illustrative decision flow

What should happen next?

Follow a recurring decision from evidence to a checked result. The record connects the evidence, rationale, authority, action and result.

Understand / Bring the relevant evidence together.

A recurring decision needs attention. Bring relevant records, signals and context together so the team can understand what has changed. Check the source and freshness of the evidence before considering a response.

Customer-system boundary

The customer’s systems remain the sources of record. Access, definitions and comparison with trusted reports are agreed for the engagement.

Decide / Evaluate the options against your rules.

Weigh the available options against the objective, constraints and agreed rules. Record why the proposed next step makes sense and identify who has authority to decide. Missing evidence or authority means asking for review.

Accountable authority

An accountable decision owner holds the authority to decide. Applicable rules, approval limits and escalation paths must be defined before a response can proceed.

Act / Put accountable approval before action.

Carry out the chosen next step within the agreed authority, with any required approval in place. The scoped workflow determines who acts, which systems are involved and how execution is recorded.

Approval before action

Selecting this stage only explains the flow; it does not grant approval or execute an action. Any system action is separately scoped, authorised and tested for the customer’s environment.

Measure / Verify execution and review the result.

Check what happened in the source systems and compare the observed outcome with the agreed measures. Connect the result to the original evidence and decision, then use what was learned to improve the next decision.

Verify the result

An approval is not evidence of execution, and execution is not proof of a business outcome. Review the source-system record and the agreed measures before drawing a conclusion.

Questions

Common questions about Decitera.

What does Decitera connect to?

Decitera works with the business systems and approved workflows you already use, such as ERP, CRM, BI and operational records. The source, identity, connection method and operating boundaries are agreed for each use case. In the documented FMCG implementation, it is a scoped, read-only MCP connection to ERP sales data, used through the client’s chosen AI assistant.

Does Decitera write back to our ERP?

Not by default. Each engagement begins with read-only analysis, and the documented FMCG implementation does not write back to the ERP or execute business actions. A write action is a separate decision. Its business purpose, authority, approval, tests and recovery path are agreed before it is enabled.

Does Decitera replace our ERP or BI?

No. Your systems remain the source of record. The assessment compares existing product features, BI, managed platforms and purpose-built connections, and the recommendation may be to use what you already have.

Which AI assistants can we use?

ChatGPT, Claude and other assistants that support remote MCP connections can be considered. Support differs by product surface, plan, settings and authentication, so the selected configuration is reviewed during assessment and tested before production acceptance.

How does a first engagement start?

With one recurring decision, its owner, the systems that hold the evidence and a result you already trust. The AI Analytics Assessment turns that into a written recommendation before anything is built.
